Official Website for the World’s Longest Softball Game

June 3rd, 2008

As we prepare for the attempt at breaking the current world record for the World’s Longest Softball Game recorded by Guinness World Book of Records, spirits are high and adrenaline is flowing. The launch of this website will be our official location to post news, scores, stats and players biographies.

Each player is designated to a team,"Marks Work Wearhouse" and "Hunter’s Ale House Molson Canadians", and is required to raise at least $100 in pledges. If you are interested in donating to any individual, you can view their own bio page and donate to them which in turn will go towards our grand total.

Future development plans for this site by June 26th is as follows. Up to date, current score board on the front page. Interactive most recent team stats for home runs, rbi’s etc. Picture of the hour (with the help of our volunteer photographers which we need!), so in total we hope to have 96 images displayed one every hour. A form of blog in which you can send us support through your kind words and messages! Book mark us and visit us often. Join our Face Book group as well by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page!

The website logo was developed by Jeff Kelly and he has donated his time and creativity to our branding efforts to help raise awareness and support from the community. Troy Fraser and Mike Berger (TDTSolutions) found out about this cause on May 29th and took the initiative to create this website for you.

We need your support!

Volunteers are a must for any charitable event and to make this event successful and bring a world record to PEI, we need your help. Check out the “Help needed” page for more information on how to become a Volunteer. You will get a T-Shirt for a keepsake and your name will be posted at the bottom of this page.

We hope to raise over 10K with this event and through your online donations and personal pledges you can help us make this happen. All money collected will stay on PEI towards the PEI Cancer Society Chapter.
